25/11/2015: Joburg Theatre Youth Development in partnership with John Tsunke present “PERFECT DARKNESS”
25 November 2015
Perfect Darkness is dance piece that expresses “Ignorance” as a barrier to acquiring intelligence, respect, understanding and therefore harmony. The piece portrays it as a barrier to spiritual and psychological growth and human empathy.

Ignorance is illustrated as self-defeating and weakens oneself more than it will ever weaken others in the long run. People who live in it are tethered and are handicapped by it. The effects of ignorance is that people misunderstand, misread, miscalculate, and whilst they do so others suffer.

The root cause of ignorance is that EVERYONE is customarily ignorant at the begging of life. The reason humans remain ignorant is deliberate because people choose to remain uneducated. This dance piece illustrates the ideologies through movement. Youth Development at Joburg Theatre by the youth for the youth.
