09/12/2016: Operations at Zandfontein depot back to normal
09 December 2016
Operations are now back to normal, following an industrial action by some Johannesburg Water employees at the Zandfontein depot.

A decision to avert a full blown action was reached amongst all relevant labour stakeholders this morning. All formations participating in the Local Labour Forum, where the decision was reached have agreed as guided by the company’s labour relation protocol to keep the nature of issues confidential.

The Zandfontein depot services areas around Sandton and the east of Johannesburg. A system has been put in place to deal with the backlog on reported bursts, leaks and other service interruptions, with priority given to major leaks and bursts.

Residents are encouraged to subscribe on our website, to our SMS notification service for alerts on planned or unplanned service interruptions. More information can be obtained on twitter: @jhbwater; facebook: Johannesburg Water and our website www.johannesburgwater.co.za.
