08/02/2017: Mayor Mashaba to host public meeting in Rosettenville
08 February 2017
Tomorrow, Thursday 9 February, Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba will host a public meeting with Rosettenville residents following Sunday’s outcry by community members about crime in the area.

During the meeting, Mayor Mashaba will provide feedback about the newly established specialised JMPD task team set up to raid buildings operating as brothels and drug dens in the area.

This meeting will also provide residents with the opportunity to engage with their mayor.

As government we are tasked with the responsibility of protecting our residents. We have to ensure that it is the criminals who cannot rest in Johannesburg, and it is the communities that feel safe.

Mayor Mashaba will be joined by Ward Councillor, Michael Chricton and MMC for Development Planning, Funzela Ngobeni.

Date: Thursday, 9 February 2017
Time: 18:30
Venue: Rosettenville Primary School, 172 Main and Abel Street.
