City of Johannesburg Ombudsman By-Law
The City of Johannesburg municipality is in the process of establishing the Office of the Ombudsman. The Office of the Ombudsman will examine complaints from members of the public who feel they have been unfairly treated by City of Johannesburg and municipal owned entities’ employees or departments. These complaints include billing and any other service delivery queries. The City of Johannesburg residents are encouraged to approach the Office of the Ombudsman with their queries after having exhausted all City of Johannesburg and the municipal owned entities’ internal query solving processes.
Below are the daft by-laws for the establishment of the Office of the Ombudsman. The City of Johannesburg residents are requested to provide input and comments on the draft by-laws.
