Honourable Speaker, Cllr Nobuhle Mthembu boasts an impressive background in the retirement fund industry, with expertise as a fund administrator, finance officer and fund accountant. Her academic pursuits include studies in retirement funds at Milpark, FICA compliance at Moonstone and ongoing coursework in taxation and governance at Wits School of Governance. Cllr Mthembu's political career is marked by significant milestones. She was appointed as a PR Councillor under ActionSA in 2021 and quickly rose through the ranks, serving as Caucus Chairperson and later as Caucus Leader in 2022. Her committee memberships include Human Settlement and Governance. Notably, Cllr Mthembu has held various leadership positions within ActionSA, including branch coordinator, constituency chairperson and regional chairperson. She is currently a member of the ActionSA Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) in Gauteng. Outside of her political career, Cllr Mthembu is passionate about empowering young women. She is actively involved with Assertive Girl and Women, an organisation that encourages women to take on leadership opportunities and offers support.
