Region D Walk In Canters
People's Centres
Services provided at the various People's Centres in the region include customer care, housing, trade licences, and rates and taxes. Such centres are an essential line of communication between the community and the City administration and they act as a gateway into the administration.
Customer care is usually the first point of contact for visitors or callers. It handles general enquiries and complaints by telephone, e-mail, fax or face-to-face at the centre. Brochures on the City of Johannesburg, maps and business directories are available, as is information on services, schools, restaurants, hotels, non-governmental organisations and so forth.
The centres log calls and complaints from residents and direct callers to the correct person or department.
