Thousands expected at public viewing areas Print E-mail
15 January 2013

Are you a keen soccer follower who wants to watch all the 32 Orange Afcon matches to be played at five different venues throughout the country but cannot, for logistical and financial reasons, be at all the venues and be part of this biennial African soccer showpiece?

Whatever it is, don’t despair because Township TV has, in partnership with the City of Joburg, made sure that you don’t miss any of the action. There will be a total of nine public viewing areas (PVAs) throughout the City, where soccer lovers, patriotic South Africans, friends and families can gather and follow the action on big screen high definition TV monitors amid a joyful and celebratory atmosphere.

With myriad fans wearing makarapas and blowing their vuvuzelas expected to throng into these venues on match days, you cannot wish for a more vibey celebration of this continental football extravaganza.

The PVAs will be at the following venues:
•Sarafina Park, Diepsloot
•Ivory Park, Haile Selassie Street, Midrand
•Thokoza Park, Rockville, Soweto
•Joubert Park, Johannesburg inner city
•Kremetart Park, Eldorado Park
•Diepkloof Extreme Park, Immink Street, Diepkloof
•Corner Klipspruit Valley Road and Armitage Street, Orlando West, Soweto
•Regional Park 4424/8, Mbali Street, Orange Farm 1
•Rose Park, corner Rose Avenue and Argon Street, Lenasia
