Joburgs revenue dept reaches out to customers at the Rand Easter Show
If you are planning to visit the Rand Easter Show this year, make sure that you visit the Revenue Department's stand (B44) in Hall 5. It is the ideal opportunity to verify your account information as well as obtaining information on other services the City offers. If you have a query, billing or other, staff will be on hand to log your call directly with the City.
"The purpose of Revenue's stand at the Rand Show is two-fold, one is to provide easy access for visitors to the Show to update their address details. It is vital to have the correct information on our database in order that the billings are accurate," says Mandy Jean Woods, spokesperson for the Revenue Management.
"The second reason is to education and inform customers who have questions about various Municipal topics such as clearance certificates, which are necessary when you buy and sell and property. Refunds also remain a hot topic and many customers who sell a property for the first time are often unaware of what the processes are to obtain this. Visitors will also be able to find out more information about the different services and subsidies that are available, such as the Municipal Services and Reathusa Schemes ", Woods continued.
The response to the Revenue Department's presence at the Show has been very positive. The stand had a significantly large number of people visiting it over the Easter Weekend, and many compliments have been received from customers with regards to the convenience of accessing Municipal information.
