Johannesburg property rates Regional meetings

Every property owner in the City Of Johannesburg has the right to have his or her say before the new rates policy is implemented in July 2008. The City will be holding public meetings in each Region from 21 July to 25 August 2007.

These will be held in the same venues that the IDP consultation meetings are held and it is important that property owners attend for a better understanding of the new property rates act. An owner of property includes sectional title holders, businesses, hospitals, schools, generally any person or trust that is an owner of property is encouraged to attend. From Monday 16 July 07, pamphlets containing frequently asked questions on the property rates act will also be distributed throughout the City.
