2010-05-10: Land hijackings – delays community development projects

SOME Johannesburg Property Company (JPC) led development projects are being delayed  by  land  hijackers.  Fraudsters are preying on the desperate home builders  of  the  community  by fraudulently and illegally selling council owned land.

JPC does not employ brokers or agents in selling or leasing the City of Johannesburg's land.

In the Soweto and Roodepoort areas, mixed use development projects have been hampered amongst other things by fraudulent claims of ownership of council land.

JPC has an open tender system that offers the community, interested parties and others an opportunity to participate in the development of the City for both social and economic well being of its citizens.

We urge our communities to be vigilant and take advantage of our land identification system by simply writing to us (preferably by e-mail) to info@jhbproperty.co.zaThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with a stand (erf) number, street name and area of the land or property. JPC will respond to the query within 24hrs of receipt (excluding public holidays and weekends)

All land and properties for sale and lease are advertised in national newspapers, displayed at our client servicing unit and our regional  offices. They are also posted on our website: www.jhbproperty.co.za including all the required processes. Our Client Servicing Unit can be called on 011 339 2700 for information on council owned property.
