2010-08-18: Rea Vaya service arrangements for the Springbok/All Black Tri-nations game

Rea Vaya service arrangements for the Springbok/All Black Tri-nations game on Saturday 21 August 2010 at the Soccer City Stadium

Rea Vaya wants to make sure that it can offer spectators the same world class service that was operated during the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

In addition to its normal Saturday commuter services Rea Vaya will be running additional buses on its normal routes for spectators going to the Rugby Test at the Soccer City Stadium on Saturday 21 August 2010. Both the normal commuter services and additional buses that will be introduced will stop at the Soccer City Station in the Soweto Highway on the north side of the stadium. Fans will thus be able to take any trunk route bus from any trunk route station from both Soweto and the CBD when going to the stadium. Last buses to the stadium will depart from Thokoza Park and Ellis Park simultaneously at 16:30.

Rea Vaya has been contracted to operate Park and Ride services from Constitution Hill and from Wits University directly to the stadium. Tickets for the park and ride facilities are available from Computicket at a price of R50.00 per car which includes Rea Vaya transport from the parking facility to the stadium. The Park and Ride services to the stadium will commence operating at 12:30.
