2012-12-03: City of Joburg to unveil itsf festive season safety plan

The City of Johannesburg invites members of the media to attend a media briefing to unveil of the City’s Public Safety Festive Season Plan.

A comprehensive festive season preparedness plan has been drawn up for this period. It identifies ways to address the safety challenges that come with the increased number of people, leisure activities and events happening in the City during this season.

The Member of the Mayoral Committee for Public Safety in the City of Johannesburg, Clr Sello Lemao, will brief members of the media on the details of this Plan.

The media briefing will take place as follows:

Date: Tuesday, 04 December 2012

Time: 10:00-11:00

Venue: Committee Room C, Metro Centre, 158 Civic Boulevard, Braamfontein

The briefing will be followed by a short site visit to the Innercity – around the Noord taxi ranks and Joburg Park Station from 11:00 to 12:00.
