28-11-2014: Load shedding

The City of Johannesburg will experience load shedding this weekend on Saturday, 29 November and Sunday, 30 November 2014 due to the unavailability of electricity supply from Eskom generation side.

Eskom has issued an alert to City Power indicating that they will be load shedding parts of the city on rotational bases. This load shedding will not only affect the City of Johannesburg but affects the country as a whole, although on rotational bases.

City Power will therefore loadshed some suburban areas which are within the city of Johannesburg which is our area of supply. City Power will continue updating our customers on areas that are loadshed as well as the duration of each load shedding on the City Power website which www.citypower.co.za .

We will also use our twitter account to update customers about the load shedding programme throughout the weekend.

Customers are urged to please use electricity wisely.
