04/09/2015: Joburg City Theatres announced the appointment of Claire Pacariz as the new Executive Producer 

Joburg City Theatres have just announced the appointment of their new Executive Producer, Claire Pacariz, with immediate effect.
“Claire brings the experience and expertise to meet challenges through a proven record of programming, sponsorship, marketing and media management,” says Xoliswa Nduneni-Ngema, Chief Executive Office of Joburg City Theatres.

She continues; “Given her enthusiasm for the theatre, she is eager to begin collaborating with the City of Joburg, external producers, both local and international, as well as staff members with a view to delivering results that promote a high standard of theatre content and service standards.”

Under the executive leadership of Claire, Joburg City Theatres will be embarking upon a very exciting new phase of the journey towards growth and development. A phase of bringing the three theatres together.

Joburg City Theatres will continue to be the leader in theatre space, bringing new content at the same time being mindful of the transformation agenda and making sure South Africa is able to tell, stage its own stories and present them at international platforms.

“I’m extremely excited about this new challenge, and I look forward to the opportunity of embarking new partnerships and ideas,” says Claire Pacariz.

ABOUT CLAIRE PACARIZ

Claire has been in the entertainment industry for over 15 years. She holds a National Diploma in Public Relations Management and began her career in a PR consultancy, later joining the Emerald Casino in 1998.

After five years, a change was due and Claire ventured into theatre. She was appointed Production Assistant at Joburg Theatre in 2003 and worked closely with Bernard Jay for twelve years where a major part of her role was looking after the interests of visiting producers and their casts.

Career highlights include – Ten Janice Honeyman pantomimes, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love, Footloose, Thoroughly Modern Millie, the highly acclaimed 2010 FIFA World Cup production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ben Elton’s The Boys in The Photograph, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express, Monty Python’s Spamalot and most recently, Sister Act.
