09/09/2015: City of Joburg hosts health technology conference on 11-12 September 2015
The Southern African Health Technology Assessment Society (SAHTAS) and the City of Johannesburg in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Health will be hosting the Inaugural Regional Conference on 11-12 September 2015 at the School of Public Health, University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
The conference will be held under the theme: “Enabling improved healthcare access, quality and equity - Advancing People’s Health through Technology”. It will be attended by the representatives from health care delivery industry, government, academic institutions, consumer organisations, consultancies and other stakeholders.
The conference will discuss topics of interest locally and internationally as well as in the private and public healthcare sectors. Its aim is to provide a platform for delegates to acquire vital information on scientific developments that may be used to promote health, to prevent, diagnose or treat acute, chronic disease and for rehabilitation.
The City of Johannesburg Executive Mayor, Cllr Parks Tau and Gauteng MEC for Health, Ms Qedani Mahlangu will attend the official opening of the SAHTAS Regional Conference.
