16/02/2015: City of Joburg Mayor to turn the sod for construction of a multi-million rand health facility 
 
The Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Clr Mpho Parks Tau, will officially make an announcement about a multi-million rand state of the art clinic to be built in Ennerdale Extension 8 during the sod-turning event on Thursday, 19 February 2015.
The R22.5-million health facility will provide the community with local access to comprehensive primary health care including integrated chronic diseases management, antenatal care and tuberculosis treatment, among other services. Its design is intended to achieve energy- and water-efficient.
The project is also intended to empower the local community through the investment of 10 percent of its value in skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled labour and small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) based in Ward 121.
