17/09/2015: Historic AMEU Convention of the Association of Municipal Electricity Utilities
The City of Johannesburg in conjunction with City Power invites you to the 100 year AMEU Celebration of the Association of Municipal Electricity Utilities (AMEU).
The AMEU is an association of municipal electricity distributors as well as national, parastatal, commercial, academic and other organisations that have a direct interest in the electricity supply industry in Southern Africa.
The Convention is hosted by the City of Johannesburg in conjunction with City Power and the theme for this year is: Alternative Trajectories Towards the SA Electricity Regime.
The event will be attended by key stakeholders in the electricity generation and transmission sector from South Africa and from across the world. Senior government representatives have confirmed attendance.
This highly interactive and informative networking convention will feature amongst other things a panel discussion, CEO/ City Managers Roundtable discussion and the launch on Women in Electricity programme. Minister of Energy, Tina Joemat-Petterson and Minister Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Pravin Gordhan will be delivering a keynote address on Monday, 05 October and Tuesday, 06 October respectively.
