01/08/2017: MMC Sifumba to launch the Johannesburg Zoo Parkade

Tomorrow, Member of the Mayoral Committee for Community Development in the City of Johannesburg, Cllr Nonhlanhla Sifumba, will officially launch the newly extended Johannesburg Zoo Parkade.

The construction of the parkade is in line with one of our priorities as a City, which is to offer a responsive government, and to ensure that facilities are accessible to all the residents of Johannesburg.

The 200-car parkade was closed for 2 years while it was being extended to accommodate 700 vehicles in under-cover parking.

This is an exciting project, which will bring relief to zoo visitors who were directed to use alternative parking in nearby facilities during the construction period.

The extended parkade will enable more people to enjoy the zoo with their loved ones.
