​17/07/2017: Mayor Mashaba to commemorate Mandela Day at Greener Pasture Day Care

In celebration of International Mandela Day, Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Cllr Herman Mashaba, will spend the day assisting Early Childhood Development Centre (ECDC), Greener Pasture Day Care.
The Mayor will take part to bring renovations to the ECDC.

International Mandela Day commemorates the lifetime of service Nelson Mandela dedicated to South Africa and calls on all of us to make the world around us a better place by actively serving others.

Greener Pasture is a home-based ECD which consist of three playrooms, junior and adult ablution facilities, an office and kitchen. It also provides an outdoor play area.

The ECD has been in operation since 2008 and consists of four practitioners, including the principal. There are 44 children, between the ages of three months and seven years, enrolled at the crèche.

Mayor Mashaba will be joined by MMC for Health and Social Development, Dr Mpho Phalatse.

Members of the media are welcome to attend.
