City to host second Inner City Partnership Forum
Today, Wednesday, 08 November 2017, Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Cllr Herman Mashaba and MMC for Development Planning, Cllr Funzela Ngobeni, will host the media and City stakeholders for the second Inner City Partnership Forum.
The purpose of this forum will be for private sector to make presentations on the developments that they are working on in the Inner City.
The City will also provide feedback on the progress it has made in terms of strategic interventions it committed to at the partnership forum that was hosted on the 27 July 2017.
The City’s interventions are guided by the Inner City Transformation Roadmap, the City’s approved strategy to regenerate the Inner City with the intended outcome for a well housed Inner City population by tackling the affordable housing challenges, and creating a clean safe, well connected community with access to economic opportunities.
Since its inception, the City has made great strides by working together with all sectors of society in the Inner City, as its partners, to transform the inner city into the heartbeat of the City and a place of opportunity for residents.
