22/08/2017: Mayor Mashaba to host Mayoral charity golf day
The Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Cllr Herman Mashaba, will host a Mayoral Charity Golf Day at the Killarney Country Club to raise funds for the upgrade of the Soweto Country Club.
The 2017 Mayoral Charity Golf Day will focus on raising funds to improve the Soweto Country Club facilities and offer enhanced golfing experience for tourists and community members.
The Mayor, accompanied by the Executive Director of the Sunshine Tour and the Deputy President of Soweto Country Club will lead a round table discussion which will culminate in a prize giving dinner to acknowledge the contribution made by stakeholders.
The discussion will focus on the benefits of developing golfing facilities which are set to generate substantial economic growth and job creation in the City.
Furthermore, the discussion will highlight how golf will enhance the City’s tourism sector, boost the property value and position Johannesburg as a leading golfing destination not only in South Africa but the rest of the African continent.
