On Tuesday, 18 December 2018, Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba will be joined by the MMC for Public Safety Michael Sun and Chief of Police David Tembe in releasing the November 2018 Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department’s (JMPD) Crime Statistics.
The department has been compiling monthly statistics since September this year. These statistics are an indicator of the success of Operation Buya Mthetho, launched early this year. This operation has been at the crux of the City’s strides against criminal elements and lawlessness pervading our communities.
