Tomorrow morning, the Executive Mayor of Johannesburg; Cllr Herman Mashaba, will be joined by MMC of Public Safety; Cllr Michael Sun, at Veritas High School in Meadowlands East Zone 5, to celebrate the graduation of the latest JMPD recruits.
The recruits started at Veritas in September 2018, and have already sat and completed the following modules and exams:
· NRTA (National Road Traffic Act); and,
· Legal subjects
The new recruits will help boost the number of traffic wardens within the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD), and help cope with the rapid growth in the City’s population. This will help the City increase and improve capacity in all areas in order to deliver services efficiently and effectively.
Media will have an opportunity to take pictures and conduct interviews.
