In honouring emerging professionals and sector leaders in the business landscape, last night professionals from various organisations gathered at a gala dinner in Monte Casino to honour those upholding industry best practice with diligence and resilience.
Joburg Market CEO, Mr. Ayanda Kanana, scooped the best young professional of the year award in the Commerce, Law and Management category. “The market is fortunate to have such a vibrant, dedicated and professional person leading them into the future” said Economic Development MMC Knott.
The judging panel expressed their appreciation of Ayanda being strong in diversity with a profile, indicative of an individual with varied talents and grounded in the accountancy profession - a CA deployed in the public sector and stretched into the world of farming - which speaks to an interest of food security and sustainability.
Ayanda impressively managed to spearhead the creation of the #JoburgCA programme and it comes as no surprise that he won this award. The City of Joburg is proud to have leaders of this calibre.
The aim of the South African Professional Services Awards seeks to recognise individuals and organisations that excel within the South African Professional Services Industry. It is sponsored by Sanlam and is in its third year of running, following a rigorous process of determining winners through a very strict criterion. These awards revel 17 categories, excluding the Lifetime Achievement Awards and Special commendations.
