Tomorrow, Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba, MMC for Public Safety, Cllr Michael Sun and Chief of JMPD, Mr David Tembe, will attend a prayer service for JMPD officers, in Soweto.
Since January 2018, five officers have died in the line of duty and two off-duty officers were killed.
The service will be led by Archdeacon Oupaki Maruthane and Dean Jeremiah Mankga, who will pray for the safety of our officers.
Members of the media are welcome to attend.
