The City of Johannesburg’s Environment and Infrastructure Services Department (EISD) acknowledges the recent resignation of individuals within Pikitup management, but assures residents that this will in no way hamper service delivery this festive season.
The COO, Christa venter, has accepted a position in government in the Eastern Cape. She will assist with a smooth handover.
The Chairperson of the Board announced he was taking on a role at a company that does business with government. Due to this being a conflict of interest, he agreed to resign.
The Managing Director, Lungile Dhlamini, also resigned to take up a position in the private sector. He assured myself and the City that he will ensure a smooth transition and that service delivery would not be adversely affected.
Pikitup will make use EPWP workers over the festive season to help keep the City clean.
