The City's rates policy has been reviewed in line with legislation, and it is calling for public comment on the changes.
RESIDENTS are invited to air their views on the City's draft rates policy for the financial year 2012/13. Written comments can be made until 25 February.

The City reviews the policy annually to reflect changes that have been proposed by the public and the administration. In addition, the Municipal Property Rates Act states that rates policies should be reviewed each year.

The policy can be viewed on the City's website; copies are also available at the City's peoples centres, and they can be requested be sending an email to RatesComments@joburg.org.za.

Comments can be emailed to RatesComment@joburg.org.za or dropped off at the City's offices at number 66 Jorissen Street, Braamfontein or faxed to 011 727 0189.
