British entertainer Ceri Dupree is bringing his show, The Ladies I Love, to Johannesburg. It’s something of a tribute to the great women of show biz.
CERI Dupree has many labels: cabaret artist, pantomime queen, live entertainer and Britain’s leading female impersonator, among them. And he is returning to South Africa after a seven-year absence.

During its almost three-week run in Joburg, his show will be performed every night. And audiences can expect evenings of glamour, glitter, comedy, vocal impressions and extravagant costumes.

In The Ladies I Love, he will impersonate the likes of Cher, Lady Gaga, Shirley Bassey, Julie Andrews, Dolly Parton, Dame Edna and loads more female stars. They are just a few in his repertoire – he has impersonated almost every major female star in his career.

With over 25 years in the entertainment industry, Dupree has worked all over the United Kingdom in cabaret, summer shows, musicals, pantomimes and corporate functions. He has received rapturous reviews in Spain, France, Holland, Germany, Greece, Barbados and Australia, among others.

He has appeared in a long list of top shows, including Hello Dolly!; Rock Hard, a 1960s tribute show; Hot Stuff, a 1970s tribute show; the Ultimate Hen Party; and the Rocky Horror Show, as Frank-n-further, of course. He has also done several national tours.

He is thrilled to be bringing his show to Johannesburg, where it will run from 6 to 25 March at Joburg Theatre’s The Fringe. For more information and tickets, visit the Joburg Theatre Complex website.
