WATER supplies to the northern suburbs in Joburg have been interrupted because of a burst pipe at the Bryanston reservoir.

Johannesburg Water spokesperson Baldwin Matsimela said the utility was working to ensure that the regular water supply was restored by 10pm tonight.

“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and we are going to work around the clock until the problem is resolved,” said Matsimela, adding that Joburg Water was deploying mobile water tankers in the affected areas.

They include Bryanston, Epsom downs, Douglasdale and extension, Fourways, Beverley, Pineslopes, Lonehill and Magaliesig.
