The Johannesburg Metrobus board of directors has suspended with immediate effect the acting Managing Director of Metrobus, Mr Sabata Makoele based on the alleged lack of compliance with the Supply Chain Management policies.
The board held its meeting, deliberated on this matter and resolved to suspend the acting Managing Director to allow fully investigation on these allegations.
The board is acting in the best interest of the company to ensure minimal disruptions to business operations and to protect its long-term sustainability.
It is imperative that this matter be handled in a responsible manner and within the province of relevant statutes so as not to jeopardize the investigation.
While this process is being conducted, Johannesburg Metrobus is not able to comment further at the moment pending the finalization of the investigation.
