“As a government that delivers, the department is pleased to be delivering title deeds to the people in Region A,” said the MMC.
Van Wyk recently visited the area where he was made aware of the community’s many needs. He said issues such as the delivery of houses has remained a key area of concern.

“This led the department to develop plans that will address the needs of this particular community.”

The MMC visited senior citizens at their homes in order to personally deliver their title deeds and assisted others to get to the event to collect theirs. A total of 90 title deeds were handed over.

There are a further 70 title deeds that have not yet been collected by residents and Van Wyk urged these beneficiaries to get to the housing office in their area to collect it.

The MMC has promised the residents of Joburg that in the current financial year, the department had set a target of issuing 3 500 title deeds, and it was a target they put all resources towards meeting.
