1. Executive Mayor of the City of Joburg, Cllr Herman Mashaba, encourages customers currently receiving their municipal account statements via post to switch to email. Cllr Mashaba, who has been receiving his statements via email for the last 20 years, says this method of distribution is more efficient and reliable.
In addition, the mayor says receiving statements via email rather than through the post eliminates any risk of statements not being received by customers as a result of strike action by Post Office employees.
2. The City of Johannesburg will electrify Klipspruit Ext 11 on July 31. This is part of the City’s ongoing drive to create safer conditions for our residents by ensuring that they are able to walk freely and safely in our streets, especially when they come home late at night.
Mayor Herman Mashaba visited Klipspruit last year, where he launched a similar electrification drive.
