The City of Johannesburg’s Property assets entity, the Johannesburg Property Company (JPC) will host site visits for 71 Inner City Properties from Monday 17 September to Friday 21 September, 2018.
The release of 71 Inner City Properties forms part of Executive Mayor Cllr Herman Mashaba’s vision of rejuvenating the inner city and turning Johannesburg into a construction site.
The purpose of the site visits is aimed at providing an enabling environment to assist developers achieve their objectives and the City’s development goals.
“Through these site visits, the city will engage developers and investors to ensure that that there is compliance on some of the submitted proposals and these have to be re-advertised to market,” said Helen Botes, the CEO of the Joburg Property Company.
“The visits will give industry professionals, investors, business leaders and decision makers from across the property sector and built environment an opportunity to gain access into the properties, view property drawings, structures and get a sense of the economic activity around various precincts,” added Botes.
The properties are in the neighbourhoods where land for development is available. They include Berea, City and Suburban, Jeppestown, Johannesburg Central, Marshalltown, Turffontein, Vrededorp and Yeoville.
The properties range in size from 178sqm to 14 732 sqm and are zoned in a number of categories educational, residential, industrial, business and public open space.
Through these visits and other engagements, the city will provide an enabling environment to assist developers achieve their objectives and the City’s development goals.
Tenders documents are available for purchase for interested parties to respond to by November 30 2018, at the JPC’s office in Braampark.
