City of Johannesburg residents and stakeholders are invited to comment on the final draft of the Sandton Summit Precinct Plan 2019, which undergoes a 60-day public participation process from today.
The City of Johannesburg, together with studioMAS Architects and Urban Designers, will undertake the public participation process for the approval of an integrated precinct plan, which will set out the development framework and guidelines for the area known as the 'Sandton Summit Precinct' in Sandton, which will be adopted as a City of Johannesburg Council-approved policy.
The Sandton Summit precinct is bounded on the south by Impala Road and the Inanda Club, to the north by Rivonia Road and Katherine Street.

The eastern site boundary is Albertyn Avenue and the western site boundary is Protea Road.
The affected areas are Inanda, Atholl, Chislehurston, Wierda Valley, Dennehof, Sandown and Sandhurst.
All interested and affected stakeholders are invited to submit formal comments on the final draft of the precinct plan and attend the public engagement session at 6pm on Wednesday, 11 September 2019, at the Region E Customer Service Centre, 137 Daisy Street (corner Grayston Drive).
“We appeal to all affected residents and stakeholders to take part in this public participation process. The public participation process of a precinct plan is designed to give members of the public an opportunity to engage with key documents, as well as to allow them have a say in how their areas are transformed and developed," said Cllr Reuben Masango, Member of the Mayoral Committee for Development Planning.
The commenting period will run from today, 21 August 2019 until 21 October, close of business; but the sooner formal comments are received and addressed, the better.
