Last Thursday, 30 May 2019, the Member of the Mayoral Committee responsible for Health and Social Development, Dr Mpho Phalatse, joined the City's Environmental Health officials in Soweto to launch the City's first ever environmental health awareness campaign.
“The City remains committed to protecting the environmental health and welfare of residents. Together we must maintain a healthy and safe City and foster a culture of protecting and safeguarding our environment." says Dr Phalatse, who is MMC for Health and Social Development in the City of Johannesburg.
