You could be one of the lucky spectators to win free tickets to the Joburg Open and get an incredible view of the tournament from Houghton Golf Course’s lush lawns. Golf enthusiasts and followers who would like to get their hands on free VIP or general access tickets should keep a close eye on the City’s social media platforms for an opportunity to watch some of their favourite professional golfers in action.
The Joburg Open International Golf Tournament is co-sanctioned by the Sunshine Tour and the DP World Tour and will play over four days from Thursday, 24 November, to Sunday, 27 November.
About 156 golfers from across the world will take to the greens. The winner will be announced on Sunday and a prize purse of 1 million euros (about R18 million) will be shared among the players who complete the tournament on the final day.
This year, the tournament will finally be open to spectators following the lifting of all Covid-19 public health restrictions.
Two double VIP tickets are up for grabs on Thursday and Friday, one set of double tickets can be won to the tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
The VIP section has access to the lounge and free food and drinks.
There are 10 double sets of general access tickets available for the tournament on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. To win these general admission tickets, be on the lookout for a post or tweet on the tournament (

Tickets for Thursday and Friday cost R50 and R100 for Saturday and Sunday. The full tournament package costs R150 and includes daily access on all four days.
