Johannesburg South’s retail scene has just had a major glow-up. The newly revamped
Panorama Shopping Centre in Mulbarton has reopened with a modern new look, an expanded mix of stores, and a vibrant atmosphere that’s set to boost both lifestyle and local economic activity.
Perfectly located at the corner of Kliprivier Drive and Jordie Street, the centre’s transformation blends contemporary design with community convenience. Shoppers can now enjoy a fresh, inviting space where retail, dining, and leisure seamlessly meet.
“We wanted to create more than just a place to shop,” says owner Bruno Barradas. “The revamp was about giving locals a space that feels modern, vibrant, and connected to the community, a destination where you can get your essentials, enjoy a meal, and simply spend time.”
More than a facelift, a boost for local business
The upgrade has attracted a variety of retailers and services, creating new job opportunities and strengthening the local economy. From major national brands like Pick'n Pay, Clicks, and Nando’s to lifestyle stops like The Barber, Treat - Nail & Beauty Salon, and Lotus Optometrist, the revamped centre offers something for everyone.
Dining options have also expanded, with favourites such as Pizza Perfect, Seattle Coffee Co, Bossa, and Mugg & Bean now complemented by exciting newcomers opening soon, including Kauai, Burger King, and Paul’s Homemade Ice Cream.
A lifestyle hub for Jozi South
The new-look Panorama Shopping Centre puts customer experience front and centre. Shoppers benefit from secure parking with bays reserved for families and those with mobility needs, a car wash service, and upgraded facilities that make each visit more comfortable.
The centre is also positioned as a social space, a safe, stylish spot to meet friends, enjoy a meal, or run errands without leaving the neighbourhood.

The revamp has transformed Panorama from a local convenience centre into a vibrant lifestyle hub, one that reflects the energy and ambition of Johannesburg South. With its playful tagline, “People say we’re a bit clicky here in the South. But at Panorama, everyone’s welcome. Pull in, China!” the centre invites everyone to experience shopping with a true Jozi South flavour.
