In Meadowlands, Soweto, and Mohlakeng Extension, Randfontein, Enock Mosiea is making a meaningful difference, driven by a simple yet powerful belief: sport can change lives. Inspired by his upbringing and guided by hardworking parents, he developed a strong sense of discipline and purpose that would shape his journey.
His love for sport began early, where he naturally stepped into leadership roles, organising games during school breaks and bringing people together. For Mosiea, sport became more than a pastime – it became a language of connection and opportunity.
Determined to turn passion into impact, he pursued formal studies in sport management. He obtained a Sports Administration and Marketing Certificate from Boston City Campus, followed by a Cum Laude National Diploma and a B-Tech in Sport Management from the Vaal University of Technology. His pursuit of excellence also took him to Qingdao, China, where he trained in Sport Event Management.

Over the years, Mosiea has built a career rooted in community upliftment. From his role at Virgin Active to volunteering during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, he has consistently contributed to the growth of sport in South Africa. Today, as Manager: Sport and Recreation in the City of Johannesburg, he leads initiatives that promote active lifestyles and community participation.
Central to his work is empowering young people. Mosiea believes that sport plays a vital role in building discipline, confidence and a sense of belonging. This vision comes to life through initiatives such as the inaugural city-wide Sport Festival, hosted on 28 March 2026, which brought together young participants aged 13 to 15 across various sporting codes.
While challenges such as limited funding and administrative processes exist, Mosiea remains steadfast. His approach is guided by preparation, resilience and a commitment to delivering meaningful impact.
Beyond his professional life, he values time spent with his young son and enjoys outdoor activities, reading, music and documentaries. A sports enthusiast at heart, he actively participates in athletics and football and is a dedicated supporter of Kaizer Chiefs.
