This afternoon, the Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Cllr Herman Mashaba and the MMC for Transport, Cllr Nonhlanhla Makhuba will join the Johannesburg Roads Agency’s (JRA) Acting Managing Director, Mr Siya Nodu in opening the newly completed Diepsloot pedestrian bridge.
The bridge is situated in Diepsloot West, Ward 95, connecting Extension 1 and 2 in Region A.
It is aimed at linking the two extensions, providing safe access across the Jukskei River and a safe passage during heavy rains and flooding. It will provide easy access to community amenities such as schools, shops and health facilities.
There will be an opportunity for interviews and photos with all the officials.
