Today, 12 August 2019, the Executive Mayor, Cllr Herman Mashaba, and the MMC for Housing, Cllr Meshack van Wyk, will break ground of the new high density social housing scheme for ERF 2136 Lufhereng Ext. 1
The development is on one of the four sites zoned for high density residential developments. ERF 2136, which has been chosen to be the first social housing development in the area, will comprise of 24 buildings consisting of two and three storey walk-up apartment blocks.
The social housing development forms part of a mixed integrated housing development, and will yield a total of 407 rental units.
