Mayor Mashaba to hand over ablution facilities in Zamimpilo Informal Settlement

On Tuesday, 29 January 2019, the Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba will be joined by the MMC for Environment and Infrastructure Services, Nico de Jager, and the Johannesburg Water COO, Derrick Kgwale, in handing over ablution facilities to the Zamimpilo Informal Settlement community.

Johannesburg Water recently installed these ablution facilities, bringing dignity to 1 900 households in the area. Plans are also in place to ensure that all informal settlements in the City of Johannesburg are accommodated and serviced weekly.

Venue: Zamimpilo Informal Settlement on Commando Road behind the Rea Vaya bus station. The informal settlement is situated next to Riverlea, west of Johannesburg.
