The Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) responsible for Health and Social Development, Dr Mpho Phalatse will on Monday, 22 July 2019, visit Diepkloof, Soweto where she will hand over a total of 35 wheelchairs as well as 30 assistive devices to people living with disabilities.
The 30 visually impaired recipients of adaptive devices will be awarded with certificates for completing the Skills of Daily Living Training.
These wheelchairs and assistive devices will ensure that physical disability cannot and should not be a permanent obstacle to the progress and development of our communities.
MMC Phalatse will further unpack the exciting plans the City has for people living with disabilities.
