​Tomorrow, the MMC for Public Safety, Cllr Michael Sun will lead the latest leg of A Re Sebetseng in Klipfontein View.

MMC Sun will join the community of Klipfontein View, as well as Cllr Bongani Nkomo and Regional Director Liziwe Ntshinga-Makoro, and City of Joburg entities for various clean-up activities, including litter picking, clearing of illegal dumping spots, grass cutting, filling of potholes, repainting of road markings, and removal of illegal advertising boards.

Earlier this week, 18 July 2019, the Executive Mayor, Cllr Herman Mashaba was joined by the MMC for Health and Social Development, Cllr Mpho Phalatse; MMC for Development Planning, Cllr Reuben Masango; MMC for Housing, Cllr Meshack van Wyk; MMC for Group Corporate and Shared Services, Cllr Ntombi Khumalo; and Regional Director for Region F, Irene Mafune, where they partook in various Nelson Mandela Day activities, including donation handovers, at the De Wetshof Retirement Village in Kensington, Johannesburg.

Mayor Mashaba’s consistent plea is for communities to take responsibility of their surroundings and ensure that the highest standards of environmental health are upheld.

A Re Sebetseng encourages all Johannesburg residents to take ownership of their environment by helping to creating cleaner and more connected communities.

There will be opportunities for the media take pictures and conduct interviews.
