A City of Joburg employee who is employed as Security Officer has been arrested for allegedly stealing two desktop computers at Thuso House on the 4th of March 2019. The suspect will appear at the Hillbrow Magistrate's Court on 22 March 2019.
It is alleged by the complainant that the suspect aged 35 stole one desktop computer at around 19:00 and managed to move it out of the building at Thuso House.
He later came back in the evening around 20:00 to steal the second desktop Computer. While he was on his way out, the Group Head of Revenue Shared Services caught him in action carrying the desktop and running out of the building. His actions were also captured on the CCTV cameras.
The complainant reported the stolen desktop computers to GFIS for the further investigation. The suspect was arrested today at Group Forensic and Investigation Service (GFIS) offices by the SAPS.
