The City of Johannesburg is calling on All City Employees, Councillors and Residents to nominate exemplary employees who are serving the residents of Johannesburg with pride and distinction.

Service with Pride is a first of its kind initiative introduced by the current administration under the leadership of Executive Mayor, Cllr Herman Mashaba, when he took office in 2016.

It seeks to recognise hardworking city employees who go beyond the call of duty and strive to do better in their jobs, the ultimate aim of which is to help better the lives of residents.

“We are cognisant of the fact that when residents receive excellent customer service from City employees it speaks volumes about the municipality and its efforts to deliver efficient services to its people”, said MMC for Corporate and Shared Services, Cllr Ntombi Khumalo.

Cllr Khumalo believes that CoJ Employees must at all times render diligent service to the people of Johannesburg.

“Your deeds are helping us to create a professional civil service that will serve Joburg residents with pride.” She said.

Furthermore, the MMC believes recognising the good work of employees will inspire a vibrant culture that will breed an aura of excellence, focus, attention to detail and progressive attitude while improving the quality of services rendered by the municipality.

City of Joburg’s leadership remains committed to continuing with this legacy project, where we highlight and appreciate our own when they do exceptionally well.

To nominate an employee who embodies the “Service with Pride” attributes please send an email to the following email address: PearlN@joburg.org.za
