On Tuesday, 21 May 2019, Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba will be joined by the MMC for Public Safety, Cllr Michael Sun, as they release the monthly Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department’s (JMPD) performance statistics.
The focus will be on April’s performance and the major successes the department achieved. The top crimes per region, speed enforcements, and the outcome of various Buya Mthetho operations will also be revealed.
These monthly presentations are a necessary evaluation for the Department to remain accountable and transparent to the residents as well as report on efforts made towards improving the safety and security of the City of Johannesburg.
