Tomorrow, Saturday, 19 October 2019, the Community Development Departments’ Sport and Recreation Directorate, in conjunction with The South African Kickboxing Association, will be hosting an International Kickboxing Tournament at the Danie van Zyl Recreation Centre.
The event is anticipated to see 300 kickboxers from beginners, advanced and open national divisions.
The Danie van Zyl Recreation Centre has hosted local, provincial, national and international boxing and the International Kickboxing tournaments for more than 30 years.
The event aims to promote kickboxing as competitive sport in South Africa and the continent. This years’ tournament will see participants from Namibia, Reunion Island and Zimbabwe.
The MMC for Community Development, Cllr Nonhlanhla Sifumba will be in attendance.
The event will take place as follows:

Time: 10h00 – 17h00
Venue: Danie van Zyl Recreation Centre, Plantation and Rex Street , Montclare
