Today, Thursday, 3 October 2019, the Executive Mayor, Cllr Herman Mashaba, the MMC for Economic Development, Cllr Leah Knott, the MMC for Development Planning, Cllr Reuben Masango, and the CEO of the Joburg Property Company, Ms Helen Botes, will hand over 55 properties for redevelopment along a critical transport node running north of the inner city.
These developments are expected to yield an investment value of R1,2 billion.
This handover of the 55 properties, equaling 11 developments, marks yet another momentous occasion as the multiparty government is working to change the face of the inner city and surrounding suburbs.
