Tomorrow, Wednesday, 11 September 2019, the MMC for Environment and Infrastructure Services, Cllr Nico de Jager, will conduct an oversight inspection at the Gallo Manor phase 1 water pipe replacement programme

Johannesburg Water is rolling out massive multi-million rand water pipe replacement projects across the City of Johannesburg aimed at reducing water interruptions in the future and providing sustainable service to all residents.

The installation of 3km of 110mm and 160mm diameter pipes includes excavation, pipe laying, erf-connections and backfilling through labour-intensive methods.

These projects form part of the strategic pipe replacement plan by Johannesburg Water to ensure that the number of bursts per kilometre and the number of blockages per kilometre is reduced, resulting in improved levels of service to consumers in the City.
