Closure of swimming pools

All City of Johannesburg pools will be closed on the following public holidays, 25, 26 and 31 December 2020, 1 and 2 January 2021.

Apart from that, pools will be opened during the festive season under strict COVID-19 regulations.

Our lifeguards will be on duty to protect visitors to our pools. Follow their instructions and look after your children at all times.

Vandalism is the biggest threat to our swimming pools, we appeal to communities to work with us to protect all public facilities. It is the children, the youth who suffer the most when public facilities are vandalised.

We appeal to residents of this wonderful City to be the first line of defence whenever criminals attempt to damage/ steal public property…hence our call for “friends of facilities’.

Public facilities like swimming pools, sports grounds, community halls, libraries and theatres are meant to benefit generations to come.
